This old hospital has a fascinating story, you can search google or click this link. I went there even though I have seen at least 8,000,000 pictures of the place, because it is riveting.
Shortly after my arrival I met a german, who said a lot of things I did not understand, but I am pretty sure he said I was not allowed to be there. So of course I waited until he was gone before I went in. It is an exiting and sometimes scary place, the imagination is working overtime.
When I had gone through the first building, the german man came back in great haste, yelling at me. I still did not understand german, but I did understand that I was being banished from the grounds.
Luckily I got what I came for, although I would enjoy an extra couple of days of exploring 🙂
I love street photography, if I could choose only one theme that would be it. My only problem is the people. I really don’t like approaching strangers and ask them to sign a model release so I can post the picture on my blog, so for now I photograph things and situations where I don’t need a model release. And who knows, maybe one day I will be brave enough to ask someone and my fear will be gone, and maybe I can get a unicorn too …
